Each new Loire Valley Wine Fair is a major event on the international wine calendar. The show plays a key role in the economics of the industry, and the emphasis is always on the outlook for the future. With every passing year, it has taken up new challenges to help us develop our understanding of the world of wine.
With an upsurge in exports of Val de Loire wines in the 2005/2006 marketing year, and a growing number of foreign visitors attending the show, the 2007 event was an ideal moment to take stock of foreign markets.
The only European show dedicated to a single wine-growing region, the 2008 Loire Valley Wine Trade Fair is pursuing its role as a business and trade venue with an ambitious line-up, the guiding line behind which is based on a strong economic message, with the will to encourage and increasingly simplify trade exchanges between the sector's players.
