THE FAIR IN BRIEF

Established in 1987 by the Angers Exhibition Centre, with the support of the Loire Valley Joint-trade Organisations (BIVC, CIVN and InterLoire), over the years the Loire Valley Wine Trade Fair has become one of the most important wine events in Europe.

Devoted to a single wine-producing region, every year the Loire Valley Wine Trade Fair offers the opportunity to discover, or rediscover, the 68 Appellation d'Origine red, rosé, sweet or dry and still or sparkling white wines that make up the 3rd largest wine region in France.

Taking place over 3 days, the 600 exhibitors, including wine growers, co-operative wine cellars, wine and other traders…, will be there to share their enthusiasm and, above all, help you appreciate their new vintage. The Loire Valley Wine Trade Fair is very conscious of the fact that the special nature of this product means that it needs to be presented and explained every year. This special emphasis on vintage is an integral part of the show, and represents one of the keys to its success among more than 9,000 trade visitors.

Furthermore, although only wine producers from the Loire Valley may exhibit at the Loire Valley Wine Trade Fair, it is marketed as an international trade fair, and this is fully justified by the fact that 12.7% of its visitors are from overseas.

From 2 to 4 February 2009, the Loire Valley Wine Trade Fair will be continuing in its role as a business and trade venue with an ambitious line-up that we invite you to come and see for yourself.
